There's an old saying - "God can't drive a parked car"We are using this McManus book, training guide and video series as a group study. Erwin McManus is one of those who takes the road less traveled and isn't always 'unpacking' is suitcase of troubles.This is an ongoing tough study for me. Over the years I've heard and still hear many Christians with totally wrong conclusions about how simply believing in God and Christ will make life so much easier. I expected McManus to continue with the same lame-brain conclusion but, instead, he clears up this issue by pointing out the misconception, then dealing with itMcManus goes deep into Hebrews 11:1, FAITH, by reflecting on Saul's son, Jonathan and the relationship between faith/belief. Years ago I studied Paul Yongii Cho's book "The Fourth Dimension" about faith - still a fantastic read - but McManus gives another example of how to deal with the 'faith' issue by linking many different stories and guidance quotes from both the Original and New Testaments.All of us in the study group have come to appreciate McManus' teaching approach.
